These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Papermarket website, application, and API (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is a paper-trading simulator for prediction markets. It lets you practice buying and selling outcome shares using a virtual balance at prices that mirror publicly available market data. The Service is not a broker-dealer, exchange, futures commission merchant, money transmitter, or gambling operator; it does not execute real trades, hold funds, or offer real-money wagering. Nothing on the Service is an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy or sell any security, derivative, contract, or other financial instrument.
All content, prices, probabilities, and simulated results are provided for informational and educational purposes only and must not be relied upon as financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Simulated past performance does not predict real results. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make. Consult a licensed professional before making real financial decisions.
The Service displays market data derived from third parties, including Polymarket and Kalshi. Those names and marks belong to their respective owners; their use here is nominative and does not imply any partnership or endorsement. Such data is provided "as is," may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and remains the property of its source. Your use of the Service does not grant you any rights in that data.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use the Service in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for your account credentials and API keys, for all activity under your account, and for keeping them secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Virtual currency, balances, positions, levels, and leaderboard standings have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed, withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for anything of value, and may be adjusted, reset, or removed at any time.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law; (b) attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; (c) use automated means to access the Service except through our documented API and within its rate limits; (d) misrepresent your identity or scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service's content except as expressly permitted; or (e) use the Service in a way that violates the terms of any third-party data source.
We may offer an API for automated, simulated trading. We may set, change, or enforce rate limits and may suspend or revoke API access at our discretion. You are responsible for the behavior of any bot or integration you connect.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without liability. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed USD $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Papermarket and its operators from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or third-party rights.
